Mr Brawn was presented with a gift of this real oak chopping board handcrafted by Cabinet Maker, Jamie Hubbard, who donated this board especially for a special member of our team.. Jamie added the Young at Heart logo to personalise it and the rather unique feature on the other side of the board, gives it special meaning. There was a ‘defect’ hole in the piece of wood used and this makes the board even more poignant to Young at Heart and we hope to you also.

Hi to all the Young at Heart members. I just wanted to tell you about the water rafting which myself and friends did to raise money for this brilliant charity. Ever since my son became a member, I have wanted to show my support and find some way of thanking the charity for all they have done for my son (Bailey) over the years. Our water rafting experience took place at the National White Water Centre in Bala, Wales. We got 4 exhilarating and adrenalin fuelled runs down the steep and rocky mountain river. The experience still remains one of the best things we have ever done and we would definitely do it again. We would just all like to say a big thank you to all our family and friends who supported and sponsored us. Between the 7 of us we managed to raise £451. I personally want to say a big thank you to all my friends who made this possible, my water rafting team Jamie, Emily, Julie, Shaun, Sam and Faye. I do hope that the money we raise will help in some small way. Love Mandy, Bailey, Kc xx

Jan's Story -
This is my 9th successive London and my 19th marathon altogether. Just love doing London it's amazing, I thought that I wasn't going to do it this year as I didn't get in with any ballot, and then when you offered me the place quite late on in the training, I was over the moon, so thank you again.
I did my first marathon in 2006 for my 60th b/day [London]. My lovely husband John was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer during the training and died the week before Christmas the same year, aged 58yrs. So I have tried and succeeded, to do London each year since, as a tribute to him, that's why I was so happy to have got the place. The running and my super friends at Black Pear Joggers in Worcester, has been very therapeutic for me during the grieving process and I know how lucky I am to be able to do what I do.
Thanks to Natasha Warman for running in the 2014 Worcester Marathon to raise funds for our charity
